ATC Avia - China Eastern Airlines opens new route Shanghai – Frankfurt

The first flight on a new route Shanghai – Frankfurt – Copenhagen was successfully launched by China Eastern Airlines from Pudong International Airport in the morning of October 30th.

From 30^th of October, there will be 3 round-trip flights every week. The new air route is actually an extended route of the company's currently operating Shanghai-Frankfurt route. It’s also the second route connecting Shanghai with North Europe after Finnair’s Shanghai – Helsinki route. The opening of new route will intensify contacts between Shanghai and North Europe, and also will promote Shanghai as an international air hub.

14 December 2008. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) announced figures that showed a continuing fall in cargo and passenger volume in November. Hong Kong International Airport handled 3.8 million passengers and 296,000 tonnes of cargo in November 2008, representing a year-on-year drop of 5.6% and 18.7% respectively. Air traffic movements fell 1.3% from November 2007 to 24,815.
