Japan Airlines (JAL) has applied to the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) to revise from July 1, 2009, its international cargo fuel surcharge for flights departing from Japan only.
The international cargo fuel surcharge on long-haul international routes will increase from 38 yen (US$0.39) to 45 yen per kg, on medium-haul international routes, increase from 33 to 39 yen per kg, and on short-haul routes from 28 yen to 33 yen per kg.
