On July 1 and July 2 the newly-established TransContainer JSC (JSC RZD's subsidiary) refused to ship containers in the Far East and other railway divisions. The most difficult situation was at the Far Eastern railway. The clients from Vostochny port were informed that TransContainer would not operate according to the tariff rates of the Price List 10-01 fixed by the Federal Tariff Service.
TransContainer declared itself a private operator of platforms and containers earlier owned by RZD by setting its own traffic tariffs. The advance payments should be made separately (one part of payment - to JSC RZD, the other part - to TransContainer). The clients are also to pay the total sum for each shipment. When the ban was imposed on the use of open-top wagons the state of the market became worse, but since July 1 the traffic stopped completely.
