ATC Avia - Руководители компании Singapore Airlines расстроены решением совета директоров China Eastern

Компания Singapore Airlines сделало официальное официальное заявление, в котором высказала свое разочарование итогами внеочередного совещания совета директоров компании China Eastern, которое проходило в Шанхае 8 января 2008 года. Совет директоров наложил вето на продажу 24% акций общей суммой порядка 923 миллионов долларов США. Покупателем должны были стать компании Singapore Airlines совместно с государственной инвестиционной компанией Temasek Holdings.

По мнению Singapore Airlines, сделку сорвали представители авиакомпании Air China, чья дочерняя компания China National Aviation Holding Company сделала контрпредложение накануне совета директоров на 32% больше, чем Singapore Airlines.

Хотя, несмотря на отсутствие взаимопонимания со стороны, China Eastern представители Singapore Airlines открыты к дальнейшим переговорам и расширению сотрудничества как с компанией China Eastern, так и с другими авиакомпаниями континентального Китая.

14 December 2008. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) announced figures that showed a continuing fall in cargo and passenger volume in November. Hong Kong International Airport handled 3.8 million passengers and 296,000 tonnes of cargo in November 2008, representing a year-on-year drop of 5.6% and 18.7% respectively. Air traffic movements fell 1.3% from November 2007 to 24,815.
