Air China Again Receives "Best Chinese Airline" Award Print

Air China has again been named "Best Chinese Airline" by the prestigious Business Traveler magazine. This year's award is the fourth consecutive "Best Airline" annual award Air China has received from Business Traveler. In addition, Air China also received the "Best Airline Economy Class" in this year's reader survey.

The regional edition Business Traveler China, published for five years now, has conducted three annual reader surveys. The 2007 survey tallied 46,000 reader votes across the July/August and September/October magazines.

"We are pleased to receive our fourth 'Best Chinese Airline' award from Business Traveler," said Mrs. Yang Lihua, Vice President for Air China, "As ever, we have again worked hard for an award such as this, upgrading our premium cabins - the Forbidden Pavilion (First Class) and the Capital Pavilion (Business Class) - now to eleven international routes. We will continue to offer our best service, with comfortable, modern aircraft and convenient schedules and routings, to our valued passengers worldwide."

Complementing the Best Chinese Airline award, Air China was this month formally admitted to Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, joining many other leading airlines worldwide, including United Airlines, Air Canada, and US Airways in North America. Star Alliance now serves passengers across five continents, 160 countries, 897 destinations, 17,000 daily departures and 740 airport lounges.
